By downloading, installing, or using Captain's Deck, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.
Service Description
Captain's Deck is a dual-pane file manager application for macOS that provides file browsing, management, and transfer capabilities. The application supports local file operations, remote connections (SFTP, FTP, S3, WebDAV, SMB, AFP, NFS), cloud storage integration, and built-in tools such as a terminal, disk usage analyzer, and process viewer.
License Grant
Free Trial: Captain's Deck offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. This grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to evaluate the application.
Personal License: Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Captain's Deck on your personal devices for personal or commercial purposes.
Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
- Distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the application
- Share your license key with others
- Use the application for any unlawful purpose
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
File Operations Disclaimer
Captain's Deck provides file management operations including copy, move, delete, and batch rename. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
- File operations are performed at your direction and discretion
- Deleted files may be moved to Trash or permanently deleted depending on the volume
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data
- We are not liable for data loss resulting from file operations
Privileged Operations
Captain's Deck includes the ability to perform privileged (admin/root) file operations. You acknowledge that:
- Privileged operations require your explicit authorization
- Modifying system files can affect system stability
- You assume full responsibility for any privileged operations you perform
Warranty Disclaimer
Captain's Deck is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Multimodal Solutions be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with the use of Captain's Deck.
Refund Policy
Captain's Deck offers a 14-day free trial to evaluate the application before purchase. Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are only available in cases of technical issues that prevent the application from functioning and cannot be resolved by our support team.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of Captain's Deck after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
